Our History
Gearheads Robotics was started in 2022 to provide opportunities for youth in the Wilson County, TX area to engage in robotics competition. We meet once a week (maybe more before tournaments) & the teams get to spend 2-4 hours working on their designs & documentation.

Our History
After researching many different choices in robotics competition, we ultimately decided that Gearheads Robotics would compete in VEX Robotics. We believe their focus on document the design process within an Engineering Notebook is a key part of the engineering process. Additionally, the VEX season is a full year long with many opportunities during the year to compete with a robot, take it home & then improve it & repeat.

Our Head Coach, Joe, is an engineer with a heart for teaching. The depth of experiences found in robotics competition is unique & prepares kids for many possible paths they might take within Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or so many more.
