Gearheads Worlds 2024 FAQ
Spectators will need to check in for the event at the below link. After checking in, spectators should go to Spectator Check-In in Lobby D to get their wristbands for entrance into the halls/arena.
A lot. As a parent or spectator, you can minimize walking by just picking a central spot to set up a chair that is near your favorite team's division competition fields.
As far as the kids, they will walk miles and miles each day. Bring good shoes!
Each team has a pit area to work on their robot, work with other teams, and just take a moment to breathe.
The Pit areas are open to the public (after checking in), and they are really fun to walk around and see how the teams decorate. There will be 40+ countries attending and you get to see a glimpse of different cultures.
I would encourage parents & spectators to stop by our pit, but I am going to ask that you don't plan on staying for long.
It is common for things to disappear from unmonitored pits, so I will schedule one Pit Parent at all times in our pit area.
Last year VEX had a really cool and really expensive shirt setup. They custom print on site exactly what you want. You can put team # on a license plate, team name, etc. and choose from a lot of interesting designs.
I don't remember how much things were exactly but expect to pay $30+ for a t-shirt & $70+ for a sweatshirt.
Yes. It is kind of mall food type stuff. I don't know if it was expensive because I didn't buy any, but I would assume it is expensive.
Yes. Each team gets 9 tickets, so we have 18 total. We can ask for additional tickets from Pit Admin. We will try to figure this out when we get there.

Yes. They are asking for help, and you can sign up here. They have a lot of ways to help, not just technical positions. I think you might get a t-shirt & a ticket to ceremonies. Also you earn one team a Fast Pass (whatever that is).
